College Search
Find the colleges where you will best succeed.
Your college counselor will discuss what you want out of your experience, what topics, programs, and majors interest you, how you want to define your college experience — and how it might define you. You will bring your high school transcript(s), test scores, extra curricular and work experiences, and personality to the table. Together, you will work through a process to match what you want and what schools offer those things and what schools are looking for someone like you, narrowing your list to a manageable number of schools for your application process.
Application Coaching & Essay Revision
Plan, write, and revise your applications and essays.
Your college counselor will walk through your transcripts and activities to help you shine your brightest — in your particular way. If you have not yet begun to write your essays, your writing counselor will help you brainstorm ideas and develop strategies for writing. When you have completed a draft, your counselor will work with you to find the places where your writing shines and where it needs a little polish. You will work together to revise and edit until your essay shows your writing and your ideas, highlights your voice and your experiences.
Resume Building & Formatting
Build, format, and polish your resume and cover letter.
If it’s time to apply for a job or internship or if a college on your list requires a resume, your counselor will work with you to find the right language for your objective and to highlight which experiences matter most.
College Readiness Coaching
Build skills for your first semester and beyond.
Some students have been admitted to college but their study skills, organization, and follow-through need practice. Your counselor will help you identify your growth edges and build the skills that will help you push those edges toward real, measurable growth. You will learn to calendar, plan, organize, follow up and follow through. This coaching will prepare you for heading off to college, but it will also prepare you for life after college, for building the life you want to live.
